 Whether you're looking for an adventure or a relaxing holiday there's something for everyone

 

Ellerburn

We are located opposite the beautiful St Hilda's Church which is of significant historical interest with parts of the church dating back to 850AD. The Grade 2 Listed building is open daily from 10am to 4pm with monthly services throughout the year. Ellerburn also offers the perfect gateway to the North York Moors with the Hole of Horcum and Heartbeat Country in Goathland within driving distance.

Thornton-Le-Dale

The nearest village is Thornton-Le-Dale which is 5 minutes away by car or an enjoyable walk of 1 mile from the campsite. Thornton-Le-Dale offers a range of shops and cafes, newsagents, a fish and chip shop, two pubs and a post office.

 

Dalby Forest

Follow the path straight from the campsite or drive just 10 minutes to reach Dalby Forest. There are miles of footpaths to walk, cycle paths for mountain bikers, bridle paths and Go Ape! 

Family Friendly Fun

Explore the North York Moors from Pickering to the coastal town of Whitby by steam train. The North York Moors Steam Railway in Pickering is only a 10 minutes drive from our campsite. Pickering offers a range of shops and activities including Beck Isle Museum, Pickering Castle, the North York Moors Steam Railway and Pickering Church. Flamingo Land Theme Park and Zoo is 15 minutes away by car and you can also visit York for a day of shopping, York's Chocolate Story, the National Railway Museum, Clifford's Tower and Jorvik Viking Centre. Helmsley is beautiful market town around 20 minutes drive from our campsite where you'll find the National Centre for Birds of Prey and Duncombe Park.
